Since he was a kid he showed tendencies to violence. He liked to chop off the heads of his sisters dolls At 10 he buried a cat alive, dug it up and dissect it. Other day he did cut off the top of the head of another cat exposing the brain. He also killed the family's cat; one of them was found headless in Edmund's closet by his mom. At 15 he started fantasizing with killing people and in august 1963 he blew up his grandmother's head with a shotgun, just for the thrill, and his grandfather got back e did the same to him. After admitting the murder of his grandparents he was sent to the Atascadero State Hospital in Saint Luis Obispo, California for treatment from where he was released 6 years after but kept visiting for evaluation. Two years later he picked up to hitchhiker that he killed. After taking the corpses to his house he dissect them and masturbated with his viscera. He kept killing hitchhikers (6 between May 1972 and Feb 1973). Sometimes he liked to decapitate them and have sex with the headless corpses and sometimes he liked to cut slices of their flesh and prepare meals with it. On May 7 1972 he attended his psychiatric evaluation since his psychiatrist found him no longer a "Threat to Society". That day he was driving around with the head of a fifteen-year-old girl in the trunk of his car. In 1973 he crushed the skull of his mother while she was sleeping, decapitate her, ripped off her larynge, and raped the headless body. After finishing he called her mother's best friend and invited her to dinner at his house. He did the same to her. He got on his car and drove to Colorado where he called the pigs and confessed the crimes. He was sentenced to life in prison.
