Charles NG & Leonard Lake Charles NG, a Hong Kong born ex-marine and Leonard Lake a 39-year-old Vietnam veteran are charged with the murder of at least 25 people, among them 2 babies. Charles and his crime partner enjoyed raping, physically and psychologically torturing and finally murdering their victims, who they kidnapped from the San Francisco Bay Area. While they were tied to a bed in an underground bunker (that they used as a torture chamber) with (stolen) state-of-the-art recording equipment that they used to film themselves torturing their victims. Also a "one way" mirror that they used to watch their victims scream in pain. When the police found their "Horror Chamber" they also found many videotapes of them torturing their victims and about 50 pounds of human bones buried around the place. After that Leonard Lake committed suicide swallowing a cyanide capsule to avoid arrest. Charles NG fled to Canada where he was arrested for robbery. He managed to convince the jury to postpone his trial for 13 years. In 1991 he was charged with 12 counts of murder. He's still in trial.
